Build the world’s most extraordinary rental experience.
At Apartment List, we’re working on redefining the rental experience– making it seamless, transparent, and fun. Our team is made up of passionate self-starters, all working toward building a product that will change the way people rent. 37% of US households are comprised of renters, and for most of these households rent is the single biggest expense each month. Despite being such a big part of so many people’s lives, the apartment search procss is something that many renters dread. Apartment List is committed to providing the 100+ million renters in the US right now with everything they need to find their next perfect home quickly, easily, and enjoyably.

Healthy employees = happy employees, so we do all we can to keep you moving! Be a part of our weekly run club, join the group going out for bike rides around the city, or take advantage of the monthly gym membership stipend.
Apartment List’s legendary parties are…well…legendary. We celebrate everything from Halloween to company milestones, and we do it in style. Join in our monthly company-wide events, like karaoke, Tahoe retreats and scavenger hunts!
There’s no such thing as a free lunch – except at Apartment List! Grab a plate and join your teammates for a meal of gourmet goodness, brought to us by Chewse. We also have fresh fruit courtesy of Fruit Guys and a variety of healthy snacks.
On the last Friday of every month, we randomly assign everyone to parties of four or five and eat out of the office. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about what other teams are working on and sample the cuisine of delicious SoMa restaurants.
At Apartment List, we believe you’re never too old to stop learning. That’s why we have weekly TED-style talks by our team members; they’re a great way to get to know coworkers and learn about topics like space, home-building, meditation, and DIY pickling.
Apartment List headquarters are located in the heart of SoMa, minutes from CalTrain, BART and Market Street. AT&T Park is just a few blocks away, making group trips to Giants games as easy as winning three world championships in five years.
Not everyone can (or wants to) live within walking distance of the office, so take advantage of the monthly transportation stipend. Use it to cover refills on your Clipper card, a parking spot, bike costs or even cab fare… we won’t judge.
We believe in transparency throughout Apartment List, so every Friday at lunch (except for Family Fridays! see↑) we host a company all hands named “Q&Meals” where we go through the latest company updates and have all your questions answered.
